Man Accused Of Raping, Stabbing 41-Year-Old Woman At Area Apartment Complex
A 35-year-old man was arrested for allegedly raping and stabbing a 41-year-old woman.
The incident took place in Orange County around 3:35 a.m., Wednesday, June 3, when the town of Wallkill Police responded to a report of an assault at the Cambridge Manor Apartments.
When police arrived on the scene at 28 Stoneridge Road, they found the victim who was transported to Orange Regional Medical Center where she was treated for her injuries, said Wallkill PD Lt. R. McLymore.

Teen Charged With Rape, Attempted Strangulation Of 19-Year-Old Girl, Police Say
A teen was arrested for allegedly raping and attempting to strangle a 19-year-old woman.
Devon Austin Payne, of Cragsmoor in Ulster County, was arrested by Town of Montgomery Police following an investigation into the Wednesday, Nov. 6, sexual assault, said Town of Montgomery Police Investigator Stephen Ragni.
Payne was charged with felony rape, felony strangulation, aggravated harassment, stalking, assault, and unlawful imprisonment, police said.
He was arraigned in the Town of Montgomery Court and remanded to the Orange County Jail.
16-Year-Old Charged With Rape, Sex Abuse Posted Video To Social Media, State Police Say
A 16-year-old who has been charged with rape and sex abuse posted a video recording of the incident on social media, state police said.
State Police in Brewster arrested the teen on charges of first-degree rape, a Class B felony, and first-degree sexual abuse, a Class D felony, on Friday, Oct. 18.
The teen was arraigned in Putnam County Family Court and remanded to a juvenile detention facility on $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond.

A 28-year-old Orange County man has been charged with sexually abusing and raping a minor, police say.
New York State Police say Joshua Vitek, 28, of Highland Falls was involved with a sexual relationship with a person less than 15 years old.
Vitek was arrested on Wednesday, Sept. 25 and faces the following charges:

Area Man Accused Of Raping Minor Several Times, Police Say
A 58-year-old area man has been arrested for allegedly raping a minor several times.
Robert T. Bruno, of Newburgh, was arrested on Wednesday, Sept. 4, by Saugerties Police and charged with four counts of second-degree rape, criminal sex act, and third-degree rape, all felonies, said Saugerties Police Chief Joseph Sinagra.
Bruno's arrest stems from an investigation after a report was made accusing him of having sexual intercourse with a minor, Sinagra said.
