Accomplice Sentenced For 2020 Murder In Area
An Ulster County man has been sentenced to decades in state prison for his part in the death of a 12-year-old area girl.
Robert “Nikki” James, age 46, of Kingston, was sentenced to 20 years in state prison Thursday, Feb. 10 after pleading guilty to criminal possession of a weapon and drug charges, said the Ulster County District Attorney's Office.

An area man who shot and killed a 12-year-old girl has pleaded guilty to the crime as part of a plea agreement that gives him 20 years to life in prison.
Ulster County resident, Gilbert Thomas, 24, of the City of Kingston, pleaded guilty on Friday, Oct. 22, to murder and depraved indifference, for the murder of D’Janeira Mason.
