Among those arrested was Middletown resident Rob Whitby, 59, who was stopped on Route 211 in Middletown on Wednesday morning for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Newburgh Man Sentenced For Sexual Assault Of Child A Newburgh man who sexually assaulted a child under the age of 13, was sentenced to five years in prison in Orange County Court. Timothy Antonucci, 48,  was arrested by New York State Police in April, for felony rape, and two counts of a committing a criminal sexual act, in addition to endangering the welfare of a child, according to the state police. Antonucci, who was acquainted with the child, pleaded guilty to second-degree criminal sexual act, in connection with subjecting a child to sexual acts under a plea agreement last year. Man Caught With Pound Of Pot In I-87 Stop Near Orange County A traffic stop led to the arrest of a 35-year-old man who was in possession of more than a pound of marijuana on I-87. New York State Police troopers conducted a traffic stop of Bronx resident Steven Nevarez shortly before 8:45 p.m. on Dec. 30 in Plattekill for an equipment violation. During the subsequent stop, troopers said that they were given probable cause to search the vehicle and its occupants. During that search, troopers determined that Nevarez was in possession of more than a pound of marijuana. He was arrested and charged with a felony count of criminal possession of marijuana. H…
