Man Rams Two Cruisers During Multi-County Pursuit Ending In Westchester, Police Say
A Connecticut man was arrested by New York State Police for allegedly fleeing officers and ramming two police vehicles in an effort to escape before finally being apprehended in Westchester County. The incident started around 4 p.m. Thursday, June 24, when New York State Police were assisting the Mahwah, New Jersey, Police Department and South Nyack Police Department with a pursuit that entered I-287 and continued south on I-87, said Trooper Tara McCormick. No More Shock Collars - National Pet Supply Chain Bans Sale
A national pet supplies store will no longer sell electronic “shock” collars noting the devices may cause fear and anxiety in animals. PetCo announced on Tuesday, Oct. 6, that it would stop selling shock collars at all of its 1,500 stores in the United States and Mexico, the company said. ID Released For Woman Struck, Killed By BMW In Westchester
The woman killed late Friday afternoon after being struck by a BMW in Hartsdale has been identified. The crash occurred in front of Petco at 324 Central Ave. in Hartsdale between Dalewood Road and Battle Avenue at approximately 5 p.m. on Friday, Greenburgh Police Chief Chris McNerney said. Police officers came upon the unresponsive woman lying in the roadway of the northbound lane.
