A wanted man in Westchester is facing new charges after allegedly assaulting a police officer attempting to apprehend him, authorities announced. Mount Vernon resident Kevin Heron, age 27, has been arrested and charged with assaulting a city cop who was attempting to place him under arrest, according to Westchester District Attorney Mimi Rocah. A 21-year-old woman is facing charges after allegedly assaulting a Metro-North conductor with a pumpkin after being asked for a ticket, the Westchester County District Attorney announced. Duo Nabbed For Murder Of 20-Year-Old Woman in Westchester
Two shooting suspects have been arrested for their alleged roles in the fatal shooting of a 20-year-old woman in Westchester. Mount Vernon resident Aaliyah Waiters was shot and killed on Saturday, Sept. 25 after she was struck in the head by a bullet at approximately 2:30 a.m. on South Third Street in the city.
