Fisher-Price Recalling 366K Baby Dumbbell Toys Due To Infant Choking Hazard
Fisher-Price is recalling hundreds of thousands of baby dumbbell toys that could pose a potential choking threat to infants the US Consumer Product Safety (CPSC) announced. The retailer is recalling 366,200 toys that were sold nationwide and online along with the Baby Biceps Gift Set that includes dumbbells with caps that can pop off, creating the hazard. Nearly 500,000 juicers are being recalled after reports of hundreds of malfunctions reported by consumers, some of which included injuries that required emergency treatment, according to federal officials. The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced that Empower Brands is recalling approximately 469,000 Power XL Self-Cleaning Juicers due to both laceration and ingestion hazards. Two men admitted to their roles in a scheme to several department stores in Westchester out of more than $50,000. Patrick Onogwu and Asanimo Risea, both of the Bronx, pleaded guilty for their part in a more than a year-long scheme that included using fraudulently obtained credit cards to steal from several Westchester County TJX Companies, Inc. stores, including TJ Maxx, Marshalls, and Home Goods. A video of a woman becoming combative while refusing to wear a mask at a Hudson Valley department store has gone viral after she went on a tirade against customers asking her to cover up during the COVID-19 pandemic. A man and woman from Westchester will spend time behind bars after being busted in an elaborate identity theft scheme that involved forged passport cards and fraudulently obtained credit cards to steal from popular retailers. New York Sen. Chuck Schumer is calling out some of the nation’s biggest department stores, claiming that recalled items may be under some consumers’ Christmas trees this holiday season. Five people are in police custody and are facing charges for their alleged roles in a retail fraud operation that stole more than $500,000 in merchandise from Westchester County stores. Authorities on Friday evening were investigating a shooting that injured a man at The Mills at Jersey Gardens in Elizabeth. The shooter fled after firing a shot that struck a man in the wrist between the hallway of Tommy Hilfiger and Marshalls, Elizabeth Mayor Chris Bollwage said. Man Pinched Buttocks Of Boy At Department Store In Area, Police Say
A 43-year-old man pinched the buttocks of a boy under age 7 at an area department store, state police from Brewster said. Troopers received a report of the unidentified male pinching the buttocks of the child under the age of 7, before asking the victim to follow him while in Marshalls in the town of Southeast on May 26. Through investigation, the subject was eventually identified as Jaroslav Kiskas of Southeast and subsequently arrested. Kiskas was charged with forcible touching, a Class A misdemeanor.
