Police are investigating three overdose deaths suspected to have resulted from fentanyl in Westchester County. On Monday, Oct. 17, the Yonkers Police Department said it learned of three apparent overdose deaths that may have been connected to the same source of heroin, which is believed to have been laced with fentanyl. The identities of the three have not been released. The batch that is suspected is packaged in a "distinct green glassine envelope," according to Yonkers Police. Suspect Nabbed Nearly Exactly One Year After 20-Year-Old Shot, Killed In Westchester
A suspect has been taken into custody nearly a year to the day after a fatal shooting in Westchester. At about 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2020, members of the Yonkers Police Department responded to the area of Lawrence Street on a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers located a male victim inside the lobby of 19 Lawrence St. with a gunshot wound to his torso, Yonkers Police said. Three suspects have been apprehended after four people were injured, one critically, in a drive-by shooting in Westchester. On Thursday, June 10, at approximately 4:15 p.m., officers responded to the area of Elm Street at Oak Street in Yonkers on a report of a shooting incident with multiple victims. A suspect is at large after a fatal shooting that happened overnight at an apartment building in Westchester. It happened around 10 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 17 in Yonkers. Officers who rushed to the scene discovered an unresponsive male victim down on the floor at 54 Fairview St. in the first-floor hallway with multiple apparent gunshot wounds to his torso, Yonkers Police said. A 12-year-old boy is in serious condition and two suspects are at large after an overnight shooting in Westchester.
