Social Media Post Leads To Lockout Of Hudson Valley School
A social media threat of violence has led to the lockout of a Hudson Valley school. The incident occurred in Orange County early Thursday, Sept. 19, in Chester. According to Chester Police Chief Daniel Doellinger, officers responded to the Chester Academy after a student reported having seen a threat of violence posted on social media. Monticello Schools Placed On Lockout After Video Threat
Monticello schools were temporarily put into a lockout on Wednesday morning, Feb. 6 when a video of a community member making a threat against the school surfaced. On the morning of Feb. 6, students approached administrators at the Robert J. Kaiser Middle School with a video clip of an area resident making verbal threats against the school district. The nature of the threats was not disclosed.
