Report Of Loud Noises Leads To Viola Elementary School Lockdown A Rockland County elementary school was put into a temporary lockdown when loud noises interrupted classes outside the building. Viola Elementary School in Montebello was put in a temporary lockdown on on Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 23 when officials said “loud noises” were heard coming from nearby wooded areas near the building. According to police, at approximately 1:20 p.m., officers from the Ramapo Police Department responded to the school, “after receiving a report of possible gunshots.” Officers responded to the scene and found that there was no problem at the school.
