Man, Woman Face Host Of Charges After Police Pursuit In Rockland County
A man and a woman were nabbed after a pursuit with New York State Police in the Hudson Valley on a host of charges, including allegedly possessing illegal weapons. The incident began in Westchester County at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 6, when troopers attempted to stop a 2021 Nissan Sentra on I-87 in the village of Ardsley and ended in Rockland County in Nyack when the vehicle was stopped by the Orangetown Police on Route 59. A racially-charged road-rage incident in Westchester led to the arrest of a 35-year-old man and the seizure of an illegal handgun after he allegedly shot it in the air while chasing down his victims, police said. An excessive amount of parking tickets led to the arrest of a wanted man in Westchester who was busted with forged documents and an illegal handgun after his car was impounded, police announced. On Thursday, Jan. 6, detectives from the New Rochelle Police Department were notified that a handgun was found in a vehicle that was impounded due to outstanding parking violations. Police in Westchester busted a group with illegal weapons after stabbing an Uber driver during a verbal dispute that turned physical, police said. An area police officer has been arrested for illegally selling more than five firearms over the past year.
