A 27-year-old Mexican national who illegally re-entered the country twice has been indicted for his role in a fatal hit-and-run crash on Christmas Eve in Rockland County, officials announced this week.Jorge Flores-Villalba, who is in ICE custody, was indicted and charged with leaving the scene of an incident causing a personal injury that results in death without reporting it, a felony. The charge comes following his arrest for a fatal hit-and-run in Stony Point last year. A storm system that will bring a mix of snow, ice and rain to the region will follow a return to more seasonable temperatures. Milder air arrives on Thursday, Jan. 23, which will be mostly cloudy with a high temperature in the mid 40s and wind-chill values between 25 and 35 degrees. The Connecticut state medical examiner released an official cause of death for a Westchester woman found dead in a red suitcase on the side of a road in Fairfield County in February. On Monday, May 6, the state medical examiner said the official cause of death for Valerie Reyes, 24, of New Rochelle, was "homicidal asphyxia," and the manner of death was a homicide. An Orange County man will spend the next two decades in prison for enticing a teenage girl from Westchester into sexual activity, which was captured on video. Six people were arrested Friday in a Westchester hub of a massive $1 million cell phone fraud scheme uncovered by an ICE task force.
