Suffern Man Tried Sexually Assaulting Woman In Bergen County: Prosecutor
Two New York men wanted in separate violent crimes were tracked down last month in Bergen County, thanks to the county's newly-launched Crime Suppression Team, authorities said.
The first arrest was made on Saturday, Dec. 21, when members of the team identified 51-year-old Randolph R. Smith of Far Rockaway, NY, who was wanted in connection with an armed robbery that occurred in New York City, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said. Smith was spotted in the Ramsey area, and when confronted by the Crime Suppression Team, he provided a false name to investigators, Musella said.

Westwood Patriarch, 72, Facing Charges In Family Stabbings
UPDATE: Three family members were hospitalized after a homeowner stabbed his wife and daughter in a possible attempted murder-suicide Tuesday night in Westwood, authorities said.
None of the injuries appeared life-threatening after 72-year-old Troy Jones stabbed his 67-year-old wife, Cathy, and their 31-year-daughter, Ashleigh, in their home at the corner of Westwood Boulevard and Hooper Street, law enforcement sources told Daily Voice.
Cathy Jones was rushed to Hackensack University Medical Center by Advanced Life Support after being stabbed, they said.

Final Suspect Caught: Victim Paralyzed After Falling Off Car In Hillsdale
HILLSDALE, N.J. -- Authorities on Wednesday announced the arrest of the third and final suspect wanted in connection with a drug deal gone bad that left a victim likely paralyzed for life after he was thrown from a car on a dead-end Hillsdale street.
Alex Juarez, 29, was being held in the Bergen County Jail, joining Bryan Ortigoza, 19, of Passaic, who was arrested last Wednesday.
Both are charged with attempted murder and aggravated assault, Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Dennis Calo said.
