No Charges Filed In Christmas Day Fatal Crash In Hudson Valley, Police Say A man who was driving a pickup truck that was involved in a crash with a car that killed two Hudson Valley teens on Christmas will not be charged, police said. According to Village of Liberty Police Chief Steven D'Agata, the crash occurred at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 25, on Route 52 near Sullivan Avenue. Contractor Accused Of Scamming Thousands From Couple In Region A contractor from the region was charged with larceny for allegedly scamming a couple out of thousands for a roofing job he never performed. Sullivan County resident David Gizinski, age 37, of Liberty and the owner of Gizinski Construction, was arrested on Friday, Feb. 16 for the incident in November 2023. Police Use Narcan To Save Overdose Victim In Wallkill Some fast-thinking police officers in Orange County helped save a man’s life using Narcan to prevent a fatal overdose. Shortly after 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 24, officers were dispatched to an Emergency Medical Services call at Round 1 Bowling and Amusement Center on Galleria Drive, where there were reports of a man possibly suffering from an overdose.
