Man Faces Felony Charges After High-Speed Police Chase, Crash Into Westchester Police Cruiser A man faces multiple charges after allegedly stealing a vehicle and getting involved in a high-speed chase that ended with his car crashing into a police cruiser in Westchester. George Smith of Mount Vernon struck the cruiser after evading officers from Mount Vernon all the way to the Bronx on Sunday, Nov. 18. Westchester County District Attorney Anthony A. Scarpino, Jr. announced Smith’s arraignment on a variety of charges relating to the theft and subsequent police chase.
