A 13-year-old from the region has been charged with falsely reporting an incident after allegedly making a social media post stating that a mistaken lockdown at the school they attend was due to students and staff being harmed. Two 14-year-old students have been charged in connection with a call to a Hudson Valley school reporting an active shooter. The incident occurred in Orange County around 12:10 p.m., Friday, March 8 at Monhagen Middle School in the town of Wallkill. According to Lt. A 14-year-old boy from the Hudson Valley has been charged with falsely reporting an incident after allegedly calling 911 to report an active shooter at an area high school. The incident took place in Orange County around 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 26 at Pine Bush High School in Pine Bush. A 37-year-old Northern Westchester man is facing charges for claiming he was shot at during a robbery over a stolen car that never happened, police said. At approximately 2:20 a.m. on Sunday, April 3, a man reported to the Yorktown Police Department that he was involved in an alleged motor vehicle crash on Strawberry Road in the area of Foothill Street in Mohegan Lake. A man wanted on a warrant for murder was nabbed at a City of Newburgh apartment after running inside the occupied dwelling.
