Man Arrested For DWI/Drugs Following Stop For Headlight Violation In Rockland An Orange County man was arrested for DWI/Drugs after being stopped by police for a headlight violation. The 30-year-old Warwick man was arrested around 10:20 p.m., Monday, Dec. 14, after being stopped by a Ramapo Police officer for a headlight violation on Orange Turnpike in the Village of Sloatsburg.  During the stop, the officer detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle as he approached to speak with the driver, police said. After making contact with the driver, the officer observed a lit marijuana cigarette on the dashboard. The driver showed signs of impairment …

Man Charged With Dwai After Rollover Rockland Crash A man was arrested for DWI/Drugs after crashing his vehicle in Rockland County. The incident took place on Saturday, Dec. 12, on Summit Park Road when the unidentified man rolled his vehicle, Ramapo Police said. The man was taken to Nyack Hospital to be treated for injuries sustained from the crash.  The department was assisted on scene by Spring Hill Ambulance and Town of Ramapo Highway Department.

Man High On Drugs Crashes Into Storefront In Area, Police Say A 40-year-old man has been charged with DWI/Drugs after crashing his vehicle in a storefront earlier in the week. Orange County resident David A. Bergsma, of Wallkill, was arrested for the crash that took place around 11:40 a.m., Monday, Nov. 11, at the Rite Aid Pharmacy on North Road, in Poughkeepsie, said Town of Poughkeepsie Police Capt. Michael O'Dowd. Wanted Man Takes Police On High-Speed Chase In Orange County A routine traffic stop by a City of Newburgh police officer and his K-9 partner turned into a high-speed pursuit after the vehicle refused to stop. The incident took place around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, when Officer Ricardo Rivera, and his K-9 partner Bane, attempted to initiate a traffic stop in the area of Carson and S. Lander Street, said Det.
