Man Arrested For DWI Following Crash Had 13 Active License Suspensions, Police Say
An Ulster man arrested for alleged DWI after crashing his vehicle had 13 active license suspensions.
Cesar Infante, 35, of Saugerties, was arrested around 1152 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 15, after police responded to the area of 67 Sparling Road for a report of a vehicle that had crashed into a ditch, and then proceeded to drive into a field, where it became disabled, Saugerties Police Chief Joseph Sinagra said.
When police arrived on the scene they found Infante who when they attempted to interview was "highly intoxicated and abusive toward officers," Sinagra said.

Man Charged With DWI After Allegedly Leaving Scene Of Crash In Area
A 61-year-old man was arrested for alleged DWI after leaving the scene of a traffic crash, according to authorities.
Ulster County resident Arthur W. Caston, of East Kingston, was arrested on Wednesday, Dec. 11, after the Ulster County Sheriff's Office, responded to a two-vehicle crash on Frank Sottile Boulevard, said Lt. Abram Markiewicz.
When deputies arrived on the scene, they found that Caston was driving a 2006 Hyundai Sonata when he allegedly struck a vehicle in front of him that was stopped at a traffic light, Markiewicz said.

Woman Charged With DWI After Spotted Driving Too Slowly In Area, Police Say
A 43-year-old woman was arrested for alleged drunk driving after police spotted her driving too slowly.
Ulster County resident Jennifer Reynolds, of Saugerties, was arrested around 1:58 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 16, after police stopped her for driving at a low rate of speed, while driving in the parking lane on Ulster Avenue, said Village of Saugerties Chief Of Police Joseph A. Sinagra.
Reynolds then stopped her vehicle over a large pile of leaves that had been dumped curbside for annual pickup, Sinagra said.

25 Charged In Impaired Driving Crackdown In Area
During a Halloween crackdown on impaired drivers, law enforcement agencies in Dutchess County arrested more than two dozen drivers for alleged DWI.
Between Thursday, Oct. 31, and Sunday, Nov. 3, local, county and state police agencies teamed to increase DWI checkpoints and saturation patrols throughout Dutchess.
In total, 26 arrests were made, 25 of which were for impaired driving. The crackdown was the first of eight planned during the holiday season.

Rockland County Sheriff's Office Warrant Sweep Nets Six Arrests
Six people were arrested during an early-morning warrants sweep by the Rockland County Sheriff's Office.
The sweep took around 6 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 2, at more than 30 different addresses in Rockland, Westchester and Orange counties, as well as the Bronx, said Chief William Barbera of the Rockland County Sheriff's Office.
The six were arrested on charges ranging from Family Court offenses to Justice Court misdemeanor charges, to Rockland County Court felonies, Barbera said.

Man Slams Into Pole While Driving Drunk At More Than Twice Legal Limit, Police Say
A man was arrested for felony DWI after he allegedly crashed his vehicle while driving at more than twice the legal limit in Ulster County.
Christopher M. Claussell, 43, of Saugerties, was arrested around 4:30 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 3, when Saugerties Police responded to the area of165 Main St., for a reported motor vehicle crash, Saugerties Police Chief Joseph Sinagra said.
Once police arrived on the scene they found that Claussell was driving a 2016 Ford Fusion on Main Street when his vehicle left the roadway and hit a utility pole, Sinagra said.
