The incident occurred around 7:30 a.m. at the Pineview Road crossing, Clarkstown Police said. The male driver of the passenger vehicle was taken to Nyack Hospital with minor injuries, police said.  The investigation will continue to determine the cause of the accident, according to police.

Truck, CSX Train Collide In West Nyack, Closing Roadway A truck and a CSX train collided Wednesday morning in West Nyack, backing up traffic. Clarkstown Police responded to a report of the crash around 8:34 a.m. at Pineview Road in West Nyack, said Clarkstown Det. Peter Walker.  "There were no injuries to anyone involved in the incident," Walker said.  The road will be closed until an investigation is conducted.  Police are asking motorists to avoid the area until the crash is cleared.

Raging Fire Destroys Cottage At Russian Orthodox Convent In Nanuet A fire has destroyed a cottage located on the property of the Russian Orthodox convent in Nanuet, according to Clarkstown Police. The blaze broke out around 6:18 a.m. Wednesday at the Novo-Diveevo convent located at 100 Smith Road, Clarkstown police Det. Peter Walker said.  Officials were altered to the fire by a woman in the cottage who smelled smoke and called 911. No one was injured, Walker said.  Fire departments on scene included the lead Spring Valley, and Nanuet, Hillcrest, and West Haverstraw. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

The crash occurred around 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Route 304 and Virginia St., when the driver of the truck lost control, plowed into a yard and overturned the trailer, Clarkstown Police said. The fire, which began at 108 N. Harrison Ave., around 11 a.m. Monday, is not threatening any homes and is not expected to be an issue, except for the train system, said Clarkstown Police Officer Peter Walker. Fencing, which separates area homes from the railroad tracks, covered with heavy brush, is causing the fire to spread.  Motorists are asked to avoid N.
