Former Town Supervisor In Hudson Valley Dies A former town supervisor in the Hudson Valley has died following an illness. Orange County resident Thomas F. Nosworthy Jr, of the town of Wallkill, died on Monday, Sept. 9, at Garnet Health Medical Center in Middletown. He was 84. The son of the late Thomas F. Nosworthy Sr. and Beatice Nosworthy, he was born on May 10, 1940, in New York City, according to his obituary.  Tom was a US Navy veteran who served active duty with NORAD in the Pacific during the Cold War. 25-Year-Old Woman Killed In Area Crash Worked As An Extra For New TV Show An area community is rallying around the family of a 25-year-old woman who was the victim of a fatal one-car crash on Cinco de Mayo on her way home from working as an extra on a new television show being produced in the area. Orange County resident Rachael Angelo, of Circleville in the town of Wallkill, was killed at approximately 10:20 p.m. on Wednesday, May 5 on Route 17 in Goshen, State Police said. Woman, 25, Killed In Single-Vehicle Crash In Area A 25-year-old woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash after losing control of her vehicle and hitting a tree. Orange County resident Rachael Angelo, of Circleville, in the town of Wallkill, was killed around 10:20 p.m., Wednesday, May 5, on Route 17, in Goshen, said New York State Police Trooper Steven Nevel. Angelo was driving a gray Volkswagen went for "some reason" she lost control, went off the left shoulder of the highway, and crashed into a tree, Nevel said. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

The crash took place on westbound Route 17 in Orange County in Circleville near exit 118 around 12:27 p.m., Friday, June 19, said Trooper Steven Nevel of the New York State Police. Few details were available regarding the crash except one person had to be extricated and the vehicle was on fire, Nevel said. Hotline Call Leads To Arrest Of Area Man For Predatory Sexual Assault Following a year-long investigation, a 34-year-old man has been arrested for the predatory sexual assault of a child. The Orange County Child Abuse Unit arrested Robert Youngs, of Circleville, a hamlet of in the town of Wallkill, on Wednesday, Oct. 30, said the New York State Police. Youngs was arrested after a hotline call to the New York Central Registry in 2018 set off the investigation, Trooper Steven Nevel said. The daughter of the late Abraham and Anna Fox, she was born on August 20, 1918, in Brooklyn. She later married her first husband, Reuben Mokotoff, a cardiologist from Manhattan, where they lived until she talked him into moving his practice to Middletown in 1954. A professor at S.U.N.Y. Route 17M Mobil Station Destroyed By Fire A Mobil station on Route 17M in Orange County was completely destroyed by a fast-moving fire. Washington Heights Assistant Fire Chief Todd Gray said the fire started around 2:43 a.m. Friday and destroyed everything but the shell of the building. "Everything is gone except for the outside of the building," said Gray.  The fire was discovered by a Town of Wallkill police officer responding to a burglar alarm, the department said.  Gray said when crews arrived smoke was "just pouring out of the building."
