Bank Robbery Suspect Nabbed A Day After Getting Away With Cash, Police Say
A suspected bank robber in the Hudson Valley was nabbed following an investigation.
Christopher Foxton, age 38, of Greenwood Lake in Orange County, was arrested on Saturday, Oct. 16, said police.
According to police, Foxton, formerly of Ringwood, New Jersey, walked into the Chase Bank on Windermere Avenue and demanded money while displaying a firearm, the Greenwood Lake Police Department said.
After getting a bag of cash, Foxton fled the area on foot, police said.

A wanted man with multiple warrants out for his arrest in Westchester is in police custody following an alleged hatchet attack, authorities announced.
Aaron Garcia, age 37, of Yonkers, was arrested by the NYPD on Tuesday, Aug. 17 following an alleged rampage in Manhattan that included him battering a car with a hammer and attacking a 51-year-old man at an area ATM with a hatchet.
The alleged hatchet attack happened at approximately 5:20 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 15, at Chase Bank on Broadway near Morris Street, police said, noting that the Yonkers native is well known to police.

Woman Caught Moments After Robbing Chase Bank Of Thousands In Westchester, Police Say
A woman was taken into custody in Westchester after allegedly threatening a bank teller with a gun and attempting to make off with thousands of dollars, police said.
Officers from the New Rochelle Police Department responded to Chase Bank on North Avenue at 9:48 a.m. on Thursday, May 20, where there was a report of a robbery in progress, Police Capt. Cosmo Costa said.
According to Costa, the investigation determined that New Rochelle resident Mary Thompson, 56, handed the teller a note that stated “give me $100,000 I have a gun.”

Two Hudson Valley men -- one from Westchester and the other from Rockland -- have been arrested for allegedly attempting to close an Orange County bank account that didn't belong to them that had more than $200,000.
The incident took place around 2:15 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 29, when Monroe Police received a report of attempted fraud at the Chase Bank located at 456 Monroe Turnpike, said Lt. Stephen Corrone.

Person Of Interest Nabbed In Connection To Route 59 Bank Robbery
A person of interest is in custody in connection with the robbery of the Chase Bank on Route 59.
The bank, in Nanuet, was robbed around 10:40 a.m., Monday, Feb. 3 by a man wearing a black knit cap, black jacket, and blue jeans, said Clarkstown Police Officer Norman Peters.
He then fled in a blue taxi, police said.
Detectives working the case were able to obtain surveillance video from the bank and the person of interest was identified and located, Peters said.

A 49-year-old woman is behind bars and facing three felony charges after attempting to cash a fake check worth more than $1,900 at a bank in Rockland County, according to police.
The woman, Kiera Isbell, allegedly entered the Chase Bank in Sparkill on Tuesday, Oct. 16 at around 1:45 p.m. and attempted to case the check, Orangetown Police said.
