$50,000 Winning Powerball Ticket Sold In Westchester
It wasn't a $630 million jackpot, but one lucky New York Lottery player in the Hudson Valley was sold a Powerball ticket worth a five-figure prize at an area convenience store.
There were two winners - sold in California and Wisconsin, who will be splitting the $632.6 million jackpot - of the Powerball drawing on Wednesday, Jan. 5, though six third-prize tickets were sold in New York, including one in Westchester.
The winning numbers for the Jan. 5 Powerball drawing were 06-14-25-33-46, with a Powerball of 17, according to the New York State Lottery.

Dino Tomassetti, age 29, of Brooklyn, is expected to appear in Nassau County Court on Wednesday, Dec. 29, for the arraignment of the charges, said Brendan Brosh, of the Nassau County District Attorney's Office.

Man Claims $5 Million New York Lottery Prize
A man is celebrating a dream come true after claiming a $5,000,000 New York Lottery prize.
Dwayne Gibbs, of Brooklyn, claimed the top prize in the lottery's $5,000,000 Riches scratch-off game, New York Lottery reported on Friday, Oct. 29.
“I have always believed that dreams really do come true,” Gibbs said in a statement.
The winning ticket was purchased at Eastern Island, located at 1463 Eastern Parkway in Brooklyn.
Gibbs opted to receive his prize as a single lump-sum payment of $3,061,200 after required withholdings, NY Lottery reported.
