Woman From Region Nabbed Twice In 24 Hours For Stealing Vehicles, Police Say
A woman from the region who was released on an appearance ticket after allegedly stealing a vehicle was arrested again 24 hours later after stealing another car. The incident occurred in Sullivan County on Sunday, Oct. 27, in Monticello. According to Sullivan County Sheriff's Office Undersheriff Eric Chaboty, Lindsay Houck, age 28, was arrested early in the morning after she stole a 2006 Jeep that was gassing up at the Mobil Station on Raceway Road in Monticello. Drug Crackdown Nets 12 Arrests In Area
In an effort to address the continuing drug crisis in the Hudson Valley, one local sheriff's office arrested 12 people in a crackdown sweep of known drug users. The Sullivan County Sherriff's Office Gang and Narcotics Unit busted the following people: George Saulsberry, 64 of Monticello, charged with criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of crack cocaine. Mahwah Police Find Pot Grow Room, Arrest Resident And Friend From Englewood
Mahwah police searching for a man who’d fled a previous arrest found a pot-growing operation at his home, authorities said. They arrested Michael Deans at his Pine Hill Road home along with Jordan Winfree of Englewood, both 29, after a warranted search turned up marijuana package for resale, high-concentrate THC oil and a pot grow room, Police Chief James N. Judge Orders Dumont Store Clerk Released After Child Porn Arrest
DUMONT, N.J. -- A judge ordered a supermarket clerk from Dumont charged with collecting child porn released pending further court action. Christian Winner, 49, was arrested Friday following a raid on his Larch Avenue home. He was taken to the Bergen County Jail before a judge released him, with conditions, under New Jersey's bail reform law following a detention hearing on Saturday.
