On Wednesday, 49-year-old Ronald Babcock of Newburgh was arrested by officers with the Stony Point Police Department after being busted with Suboxone, a controlled substance he did not have a prescription for, Lt. Keith Williams said.
Suboxone is used to treat pain as well as addiction to narcotic pain relievers, according to drugs.com.
Williams said that Babcock was arrested at the scene and charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. He was released on his own recognizance and is due back in Stony Point Justice Court on Thursday, May 4.
