At approximately 11 p.m. on Friday, March 31, state police troopers stopped Bronx resident Travis Campbell for a traffic violation on I-87 in Ramapo. During the subsequent stop, it was determined that he was driving under the influence, police said.
Campbell was arrested and transported to the state police barrack in Tarrytown, where it was determined that he had prior DWI convictions and he was charged with a felony count of driving while intoxicated. He was also issued vehicle and traffic violations.
According to police, no breath sample reading is currently available. Campbell was released to a sober third party and is due back in the Town of Ramapo Court on Friday, April 14.
