'Pokémon Go' App Cited As Cause Of Upstate Crash

Police are saying an upstate driver crashed into a tree while playing the new popular smart phone game Pokémon Go and warn others to exercise caution while playing, according to multiple reports.

The 28-year-old Cayuga County man was lucky to come out free of injury and officials urge against playing the game while operating any vehicle from a car to a bike, according to the Auburn Citizen.

Another common issue with the game is trespassing, as the app reminds players while loading, be aware of your surroundings and in a well-lit area while playing.
