Man Caught With Heroin, Oxycodone After Stony Point Traffic Violation

ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Washingtonville man was nabbed with heroin and oxycodone following a traffic stop in Stony Point earlier this month.

Michael Schultz, 36, was arrested on Monday, April 3, after being stopped on Beach Road for several traffic violations, said Lt. Daniel Hylas.

During the stop, officers discovered that Schultz was driving on a suspended license and was in possession of nine hypodermic needles, oxycodone pills and 1.8 grams of heroin, Hylas said.

Schultz was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance and traffic violations.  He was released and is scheduled to appear in court on May 4.
