Video surveillance photos of the 24-year-old man and 22-year-old woman were released by police after they were spotted at a Walmart on the New York/Pennsylvania border early Saturday morning, June 24, hours after the pre-dawn home invasion near the border of Orange and Sullivan counties.

The fugitives, Jarret Cole "Shroom" Heitmann and Makayla Danielle Stilwell, were classified as armed and extremely dangerous, according to police. They were wanted for kidnapping and attempted murder in Tennessee before fleeing to the Hudson Valley.

Heitmann and Mikayla Stilwell were arrested separately the last few days in New Orleans.

Heitmann was arrested by New Orleans Police Department officers as a result of a shoplifting incident on Thursday. Four days later, his girlfriend, Stilwell, was apprehended, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune.

The Walmart sighting occurred in Matamoras, Pa., about 30 miles from where the home invasion occurred in the Hudson Valley. Matamoras is located at the point in the Delaware Water Gap where the borders of New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania join.

Police in the Town of Crawford in Orange County said the Walmart sighting was the "last confirmed sighting" of the two before they were arrested. The duo purchased supplies and outdoor gear at the Walmart, police said, noting they were believed to be heading back to New York after stopping there.
