The arrest came about when officers responded to the report of a suspicious vehicle on Saturday, according to police.
During the investigation, the suspect, identified as Jhonny D. Betances, was found in possession of 74.9 grams of marijuana and numerous alprazolam pills, police said.
Betances has been charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, along with fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana, according to police.
The defendant was processed and released after posting $200 cash bail, police said.
He was issued an appearance ticket returnable on Tuesday, Oct. 25, according to police.
