Rockland Homeowner Frustrated As Bear Damages Property

POMONA, N.Y. -- A black bear has been making the rounds at one Pomona home, tearing up a backyard and destroying a front gate, according to News 12.

Homeowner George Baladi told the news channel that he called police during a recent black bear encounter, but that officers did not confront the animal, leaving it the matter for animal control.

Baladi told the channel that he owned a gun, but is not allowed to shoot the bears, which had never caused damage before the most recent incident.
