ORANGE COUNTY, N.Y. – Dozens of people affected by crime attended the annual Orange County Crime Victims' Vigil on Thursday, according to TWC News.

The vigil was held at Thomas Bull Memorial Park in Montgomery, and those affected by crime shared their stories with the crowd, TWC News said.

For loved ones, the vigil was a way "to always go forward," as Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler said in his remarks to the crowd, reported TWC News.

The event was part of National Crime Victims' Rights Week.
