Mario’s Pasta Cucina, Stony Point
Why It's Kid Worthy: Patrons of this unpretentious restaurant praise it not only for its heaping helpings of old-school Italian favorites, but for the way staff warmly welcomes children. Said one, “It’s very family oriented. I have little ones and the staff treats them like gold.” Besides the usual mac and cheese, burgers, ravioli and chicken fingers on its kids’ menu (age 10 and under), Cucina includes a healthy option, grilled chicken over penne with broccoli. It also will split entrees from its regular menu for children to share and can make half-orders of its pasta dishes. Oh, and if tiny tummies are still not full, there’s a kiddie-sized ice cream sundae to top off the meal.
