New City's Red Hill Cafe Shows Off Its DVlicious Coffee Pride

NEW CITY, N.Y. -- The coffee was on, the baked goods were out, and a small crowd gathered by the register as Red Hill Cafe Owner Elena Hansen accepted her award for "DVlicious Best Coffee in Rockland County."

Hansen runs the homey New City eatery with her son, Josh, and said she was honored to have received both a certificate -- which she promptly put by the front counter - and a large DVlicious banner. Said Elena: "Thank you so much Daily Voice readers and Rockland County community members for voting us 'Best Coffee in Rockland County.' We are thrilled we won and exited to provide the best coffee, fresh food and service to our community!"

Red Hill Cafe, at 241 S Little Tor Rd., won the DVlicious contest with 76 percent of the vote. The coffee is roasted locally in Tarrytown, and ground to brew before is served. See earlier Daily Voice story HERE.
