The site hosted a reenactment of an 18th century military encampment to commemorate the daring midnight assault on the British fortifications at Stony Point in July 1779.
Musket, artillery and marching demonstrations were staged, visitors talked to ladies, soldiers and craftsmen in 18th century attire, performing camp chores such as blacksmithing and cooking.
Demonstrations were held on how wool is dyed and spun, and there were colonial games and wooden musket drills for children.
