New Supermarket To Open In Hudson Valley A new 24-hour-a-day supermarket is opening in the Hudson Valley, focusing on everything fresh.  The Garden Fresh Market, located in Rockland County in Spring Valley, will have its soft opening on Wednesday, Oct. 23, and its grand opening on Saturday, Oct. 26, said owner Wilson Bermeo of New City.  This will be the fourth supermarket for Bermeo, who immigrated from Ecuador in 1995 to live the American Dream. Stew Leonard's Recalls Popular Product Due To Nuts Missing From Label Stew Leonard's has issued a recall of a popular dessert product. The family-owned supermarket chain said Chocolate Chunk Banana Bread may contain undeclared walnuts.  Between Thursday, Sept. 26, and Wednesday, Oct. 2, 39 units of the product were sold in Stew Leonard’s bakery department at the store’s location in Danbury, Connecticut only. The recall was initiated after a customer discovered that a loaf of Chocolate Chunk Banana Bread contained walnuts, but walnuts were not declared on the label.
