Firefighters raced to a golf course clubhouse in Northern Westchester after a dryer fire filled the building with smoke. The incident happened in Croton-on-Hudson on Monday, Nov. 4 just before 8:45 a.m., when a blaze began inside a dryer at the Hudson National Golf Course's clubhouse, according to the Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department. Firefighter Falls Through Floor While Battling Blaze At North Salem Home
A firefighter fell through a floor during the response to a blaze at a Northern Westchester residence. The blaze began on Tuesday, Oct. 29 inside the laundry room at a North Salem home on Nash Road, according to the Croton Falls Fire Department. Person Rushed To Trauma Center After 3-Car Crash In Yorktown
A person was rescued from their vehicle and hospitalized following a three-car crash at a Northern Westchester intersection. The crash happened in Yorktown just after 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 17, when three cars collided at the intersection of London Road and Quinlan Street, according to the Yorktown Heights Volunteer Fire Department. Vigil To Be Held For Fallen 26-Year-Old Firefighter From Hudson Valley
A candlelit vigil will soon be held to honor the memory of a 26-year-old firefighter from the Hudson Valley following his untimely death in Connecticut. A vigil for Putnam County resident William "Billy" May of Brewster, who died on Friday, March 29, in Danbury at the age of 26, will be held on Monday, Aug. 12, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the field at Grace Life Community Church at 520 Route 312 in Brewster.
