A sprawling New York car theft and resale scheme that netted $5.5 million and shafted more than 120 car owners has been wrapped up with guilty pleas, authorities said Monday, Sept. 14. Two 24-year-olds from New Jersey were killed after being struck by a subway train in Manhattan early Sunday morning, Sept. 13, authorities said. A man was found dead off a Long Island road early Monday, Sept. 14, police said. Cops responded to an aided call around 4:05 a.m. in Uniondale, the Nassau County Police Department announced.
