Stony Brook Southampton Hospital has admitted 58 patients with salmonella infections since July 1, according to Newsday. Most of the patients were simply evaluated, treated, and released, the hospital said. The outbreak is possibly tied to the Shinnecock Indian Nation, according to the Southampton Press.
