A North Lawrence man was arrested following a violent altercation early Christmas morning in Inwood, Nassau County police said.
The incident occurred on Wednesday, Dec. 25, at approximately 2 a.m., at a Clinton Avenue home, police said. According to detectives, officers responded to the location after receiving reports of a disturbance.

A woman was arrested for stealing back a German Shepherd she sold earlier this month, authorities in Point Lookout announced on Thursday, Dec. 19.
Elizabeth Dolce, 52, of Oak Beach, is accused of forcibly taking the 4-month-old German Shepherd from a 42-year-old woman who had been walking the dog near Beech Street and Glenwood Avenue around 2:52 p.m., according to Fourth Squad detectives.

Two alleged armed robbers are behind bars months after a victim lost six figures in cash outside a Long Island bank.
Gloria Chamorro, 32, and Luis Lizardo, 45, both of Brooklyn, were arrested on suspicion of robbery and related charges Thursday, Dec. 19.
Nassau County Police said the duo approached a 36-year-old man outside the Bank of America on Jerusalem Boulevard in Hicksville shortly before 9 a.m. on July 29.

Kadeem Lewis, age 31, of Hempstead, was found guilty of second-degree murder and related charges in Nassau County Court on Thursday, Oct. 31, in the killing of Jose Sanchez-Velasquez.
According to investigators, Lewis and a co-defendant, Richard Ford, were walking around Hempstead looking for a house to burglarize when they spotted Velasquez sleeping in the front seat of his car at around 2:20 a.m. on Nov. 25, 2019.

Rensselaer County resident William Camino, of Troy, was sentenced to 10 years in prison in Rensselaer County Court on Wednesday, Aug. 28, a month after pleading guilty to first-degree robbery.
