Nassau School Nurse Blamed ‘Boulder’ For Deadly Crash She Fled: Authorities
A Long Island woman blamed a “fictitious boulder” for a hit-and-run car crash in which she allegedly killed a bicycling grandfather, authorities said.
Erin Henry, 67, was indicted Wednesday, July 1 for leaving the scene of a fatal accident, the Nassau County District Attorney’s office said.
Henry, of Long Beach, was driving a 2019 Honda HR-V when she struck Tony Thomas, 59, on Beech Street on March 24, according to investigators.

Mom Kidnapped, Killed While Delivering Mail On Route: Investigators
A US Postal Service mail carrier and mother of two was kidnapped and killed while delivering mail just months after her husband's death, authorities said.
Brandi Reynolds, 35, was found dead at about 4:16 p.m. on Friday, June 26, the US Postal Inspection Service said in a news release. Her body was discovered in Hays, North Carolina, about 90 minutes west of Greensboro.
William Durham, 56, was arrested in connection with Reynolds' death. He was charged with first-degree murder and first-degree kidnapping, NBC News reported.

Richard Enstad, 68, was charged with promoting and possessing child porn, the Suffolk County Police Department said.

LI Pedestrian Killed By Tractor-Trailer Identified Days After Collision: Police
The pedestrian killed in a Long Island car crash last week was identified Tuesday, June 30 by authorities.
Denis Hernandez, 27, was struck and killed by a tractor-trailer on Station Road in North Bellport, the Suffolk County Police Department said Tuesday.
Hernandez, of Bellport, was standing in the road just south of Martha Avenue when a southbound tractor-trailer struck him around 10:30 p.m. Thursday, June 25, according to police.
He was taken to NYU Langone Hospital-Suffolk in Patchogue, where he was pronounced dead, police said. The accident remains under investigation.

Camari Isaiah Ziegler, 22, was spotted violating traffic laws around 11 p.m. Saturday on County Road 39 in Southampton, and cops tried to pull him over, the Southampton Town Police Department said.
