A 42-year-old man was arrested after allegedly driving drunk with three children in his vehicle in Dutchess County and registering a blood alcohol content nearly three times the legal limit, police said.
The incident happened on Friday, April 18, when a trooper pulled over a 2016 Acura on Old Post Road in Wappinger for multiple traffic violations, New York State Police announced on Tuesday, April 22.

An alleged drunk driver from Connecticut is facing charges after injuring two people in a car crash in upstate New York, police said.
Hartford County resident Gonzalo Paredes-Moscoso, 45, of New Britain, was arrested on assault and related charges Tuesday, March 25, stemming from a crash in Saratoga County.
Paredes-Moscoso had a blood alcohol content (BAC) of .18 percent or greater when he crashed his vehicle on State Route 146 near Fire Road in the town of Clifton Park on Tuesday, Feb. 4, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office.

Matthew Monthie, 29, of Clifton Park, was sentenced to three to 10 years behind bars in Albany County Court on Tuesday, March 4, following his conviction for manslaughter and related charges in the death of Shawna Marzhal.
Monthie was driving westbound on Route 85 in Bethlehem when he crossed over the center line and struck the 53-year-old Marzahl in the eastbound lane early on May 1, 2024, according to prosecutors.
