A woman was found shot and killed outside a residence in the region and her suspect died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound following a police chase, according to authorities. A 27-year-old man faces felony charges after crashing at a Northern Westchester gas station while allegedly under the influence of drugs, police said. Yorktown resident Ronald Ferraro was arrested on Friday, Aug. 2 in connection with an incident at the Shell gas station at 930 East Main St. in Yorktown, the town's police department announced on Tuesday, Aug. 6. Police Department In Northern Westchester To Be Outfitted In Body Cams
A Northern Westchester town has authorized outfitting its police department with body-worn cameras. In an announcement on Wednesday, June 5, the Yorktown Town Board said it has approved the purchase of body cameras for the Yorktown Police Department as part of an over $478,000 contract with Axon Enterprises.
