Driver Hospitalized After Car Snaps Poles In Northern Westchester
A driver was taken to a hospital following a crash in Northern Westchester that left two utility poles snapped. The crash happened on Friday, Oct. 4 just before 8:30 p.m., when a vehicle hit two poles on Route 133 in Mount Kisco near the intersection with Crow Hill Road, according to Independent Fire Co. #13 of the Mount Kisco Fire Department. 23-Year-Old Passenger Killed In Hudson Valley Crash
A Hudson Valley man who was a passenger in an Infiniti sedan was killed in a single-vehicle crash. The collision occurred in Dutchess County, in the town of Wappinger, at about 6:20 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 2, on All Angels Hill Road near Dugan Lane. According to Capt. John Watterson of the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office, a preliminary investigation revealed that a 2007 Infiniti sedan with five occupants was traveling southbound on All Angels Hill Road when the driver lost control of the vehicle. Semi-Truck Knocks Down Live Wires, Catches On Fire In Hudson Valley
Part of a busy Hudson Valley road was briefly closed to traffic after a semi-truck collided with a utility pole, causing a blaze sparked by live wires. The incident happened in Putnam County on Tuesday, July 9 around 1 p.m., when a semi-truck hit a utility pole on Farmers Mills Road (Route 42) in Kent, according to the Lake Carmel Fire Department.
