A 47-year-old New Jersey man was jailed after allegedly leading police on a high-speed chase across Westchester and Putnam counties, driving into oncoming traffic, and ignoring orders to stop, authorities said.
Bergen County resident Noel Mendez of Fairview, age 47, was arrested on felony reckless endangerment charges following a multi-jurisdiction police pursuit in November that ended in Putnam County, Yorktown Police announced on Wednesday, Feb. 19.

A 40-year-old woman is facing multiple charges after allegedly speeding in a stolen vehicle on the Taconic State Parkway in Westchester, police said.
The incident occurred late on Tuesday, Feb. 4, when a Yorktown Police officer noticed a vehicle traveling at high speeds on the southbound Taconic State Parkway, Yorktown Police announced on Monday, Feb. 10.
Upon pulling the vehicle over, the officer discovered that the vehicle's license plate had been reported stolen out of Pennsylvania, the department said.

A man has been charged months after crashing his pickup truck into a Hudson Valley Dunkin’ location, causing extensive damage that led to the building’s demolition, police announced.
