Dump Truck Tips Over, Spills Fluids In Croton: Driver Hospitalized A late-night rollover involving a dump truck disrupted operations and caused injuries at a train station in Westchester.  The incident occurred on Friday, Jan. 24, just before 10 p.m., when a truck rolled over at the Metro-North Rail Yards beneath the Croton Point Avenue overpass, according to the Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department.  Upon arrival, crews found that the dump truck had overturned, possibly due to the truck’s dump bed unknowingly rising while in motion. Dryer Sparks Blaze At Golf Course Clubhouse In Hudson Valley Firefighters raced to a golf course clubhouse in Northern Westchester after a dryer fire filled the building with smoke. The incident happened in Croton-on-Hudson on Monday, Nov. 4 just before 8:45 a.m., when a blaze began inside a dryer at the Hudson National Golf Course's clubhouse, according to the Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department. Arriving firefighters found that the building was filled with smoke and quickly used a hose to put the fire out. Brush Fire Reaches Cortlandt Home, Kept At Bay By Resident With Hose A Northern Westchester resident was able to keep a raging brush fire at bay with a hose until firefighters could arrive and save their home from the flames.  The blaze happened on Wednesday, Oct. 16 around 11:45 a.m., when a fire began behind a home on Colabaugh Pond Road in Cortlandt, according to the Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department.  An arriving Montrose Fire Chief soon arrived at the residence and found that the brush fire had spread to the residence's rear deck. Man Rescued From Water Below Dam In Northern Westchester First responders had to make their way through traffic before saving a man from the water below a dam in Northern Westchester.  The rescue happened just before 3 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 10, when a man became trapped in the water below the Croton Dam's spillway, according to the Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department.  Officers from the Westchester County Police Department soon arrived and were able to lower a flotation device to the man as fire crews fought vehicle and pedestrian traffic to get to the scene.  Once they were able to get to the dam, the fire department lowered a swimme…
