Seen Him? State Police Asking For Help Identifying 'Skimmer' Thief State police are asking for the public's help in finding the suspects who installed an ATM "skimming" device at the TEG Federal Credit Union on Route 9 in the town of Wappinger. The device, which attaches to credit card readers steals the user's banking information, was reported on Jan. 13, according to Trooper A.J. Hicks. Although police do not know what type of device was used, Hicks said newer skimmers have a blue-tooth capability that can be read from a distance.  Police are asking anyone with information to contact them at Troop K Headquarters at (845) 677-7300. Investigation Underway Into Stolen Rims, Tires At Ruge's In Rhinebeck New York State Police are seeking the public’s assistance as they search for a suspect who stole tires and rims from a Dutchess County auto lot over the holidays. State Police investigators from Rhinebeck are investigating the larceny of four rims, tires and center caps that were stolen from a 2015 Jeep Cherokee from Ruge’s Auto lot on Wey Road between Dec. 31 and Jan. 2. Police said that the tire size was reported as P265/60R18, and the rims will fit any Jeep Cherokee model between 2011 and 2017. The value of the stolen items was listed as $3,578.48.
