Assailant Flees Scene After Woman Stabbed In Poughkeepsie A Hudson Valley woman was stabbed during a fight between two groups of people on a city street.  The incident occurred in Dutchess County around 10 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 9, on Montgomery Street in the city of Poughkeepsie. According to Det. Lt. Sean McCarthy of the city of Poughkeepsie Police, Donyae Paris Andrews, age 24, of Poughkeepsie, received non-life-threatening injuries to her arm during the attack. Head-On Crash: Pair Of 11-Year-Olds Injured In Hudson Valley Two 11-year-olds on were injured in a head-on crash in the Hudson Valley. The incident occurred in Rockland County around 3:20 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 18, on Sunny Ridge Road in New Hempstead. According to Ramapo Police Lt. Thomas Dolan, officers responding to the crash found the two injured children who were riding a miniature dirt bike on the roadway.  An investigation found the two were driving the dirt bike westbound, on the wrong side of the road, when they struck a moving vehicle head-on, Dolan said. The attack happened in Albany, near the intersection of Quail and West streets, shortly after 8 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 3. A 16-year-old student and an adult staffer have been injured in a reported stabbing attack at a school in the region. Emergency crews in Rensselaer County were called to Troy Community School on 5th Avenue shortly after 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28 for a stabbing inside the building. A section of the Taconic State Parkway was closed after a serious two-vehicle crash Friday afternoon involving a Westchester County police vehicle. The crash took place around 3 p.m. in Mount Pleasant, state police said. Two people, including a Westchester County police officer, were injured in the crash. Both were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries. The closure began at Lakeview Avenue.
