28-Year-Old Father Killed, Second Victim Airlifted Following 2-Vehicle Capital Region Crash
A young father was killed and another motorist was hospitalized with serious injuries following a two-vehicle crash in the region. The Rensselaer County wreck happened at around 11:30 p.m. Saturday, May 11, on State Route 67 in Pittstown. New York State Police said a disabled vehicle was stopped in the eastbound lane after several people moved it from the shoulder, when a motorcycle heading eastbound crashed into it. One Killed In Three-Vehicle Crash On Busy Area Roadway
An investigation is underway after a fatal crash involving three vehicles on a busy roadway in the area. It happened around 4:05 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18 in Carmel. Town o Carmel Police Department officers, along with members of the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office and Carmel Fire Department, responded to a 911 call for a motor vehicle accident with injuries on Route 301 involving two motorcycles and a motor vehicle. Motorcyclist Airlifted To Hospital After Two-Vehicle Crash In Area, Police Say
A motorcyclist was airlifted to an area hospital following a two-vehicle crash in the area. The crash took place in Orange County on Monday, Feb. 3 in the City of Newburgh at Broadway and Mill Street. Upon arrival, Newburgh officers found the motorcycle and its driver in the roadway, said City of Newburgh Police Det. Lt. Joseph Burns. The victim was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital before being flown to Westchester Medical, Burns said. The driver of the motor vehicle did not seek medical attention at the scene. The crash is under investigation.

10-Vehicle Crash With Numerous Injuries Shuts Down Busy Route 9 Stretch In Northern Westchester
A 10-vehicle crash on Route 9 caused numerous injuries, including from victims trapped in a burning car, and closed the highway in Northern Westchester for at least an hour. The crash took place around 10:46 a.m., Wednesday, May 8, near Main Street in Peekskill, said Peekskill Police Det. Sgt. Jack Galusha.
