When firefighters arrived on the scene they found heavy smoke and heavy fire from the ground through the roof, the department said. The incident took place around 2:56 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 3, on Montgomery Street off Route 9 in Rhinebeck, said Rhinebeck Fire Department Spokesman Jeff Cotter. Arriving crews encountered smoke showing from the eaves of the home and a significant amount of smoke throughout the house, Cotter said. The incident took place on Saturday, June 1, when Red Hook Officer James Simmons responded to a call on Route 9/Fraleigh Lane in the Town of Red Hook for an unconscious male slumped over the steering wheel not breathing, the department said on Facebook. Family Of Three Displaced Following Two-Alarm Milan Fire A family of three are temporarily homeless following a chimney fire that ripped through the two-story home in Milan. The fire started around 3 p.m. Sunday, at 123 Shookville Road, said Jeffrey Galm, second assistant chief for the Milan Fire Department. Chief Kurt Mizgier was first to arrive on the scene and found flames through an exterior wall and roof, Galm said. Two-Alarm Rhinebeck Home Fire Displaces One A two-alarm mobile home fire in Rhinebeck left one person displaced, according to the Rhinebeck Fire Department.  The fire started around 3:46 p.m. Wednesday at 20 Hidden Valley Road, with Rhinebeck fire crews responding within four minutes, the department reported. Once on scene, firefighters found a large fire and transmitted a second alarm and requested assistance at the scene.
