Lane Closures Announced For Water Main Installation In East Fishkill
There will be lane closures on several Dutchess County roads for weeks as contracting crews begin the Hopewell Water System Project in East Fishkill. Beginning this week, there will be intermittent closures on Route 82, JoAnn Road and Hausner Road, as crews perform a water main installation project along the shoulders of the roadways. JoAnn Road will be closed from Route 82 to Hausner Road will only be open to local traffic through at least Monday, Sept. 17 as work continues in the area. Attorney General Candidate Vows To Investigate Cuomo Administration If Elected
Although she is a fellow Democrat, a candidate for state Attorney General has vowed to investigate corruption within the Cuomo Administration if elected in the Thursday Sept. 13 primary and Nov. 6 election. Zephyr Teachout, a former challenger to Gov. Andrew Cuomo of New Castle, said she would probe whether the Democratic governor has used state resources for campaign purposes, according to multiple news reports. Water Main Break Closes Street In Wallkill
A busy roadway in Wallkill was closed on Wednesday as crews deal with a water main break in the area. The Wallkill Office of Emergency Management issued an alert at approximately 5:30 a.m., cautioning that East Main Street will be closed between Ridgewood Avenue and Brookline Avenue as crews deal with the water main break. Wall Collapse Closes Poughkeepsie Road
Crews are on the scene of a wall collapse that has closed a roadway in the City of Poughkeepsie. The concrete wall collapsed around 6 a.m. Thursday at 123 Cottage St., said City of Poughkeepsie Fire Chief Mark Johnson. The building, a commercial structure, is used for storage, he said. No one was injured and building officials are on the scene to determine the safety of the structure, he added. Cottage Street is closed while the road is cleared of debris.
