Covid-19: Here's Latest Number Of Fatalities, Breakdown Of Cases By Municipality In Westchester There have now been more than 3,400 confirmed cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Yonkers, as the total in Westchester climbs to 21,828, according to the state Department of Health. Six COVID-19 patients were dispatched in Westchester in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number to 1,119 hospitalizations. The state is also reporting 738 people have died in Westchester from the virus since the start of the pandemic. Fatal Crash Causes Saw Mill Parkway Closure A fatal two-vehicle crash led to the hours-long closure of a stretch of the Saw Mill River Parkway in Westchester. It happened just before 12:30 a.m. Sunday, July 21 on the southbound side near Exit 17 (Ashford Avenue) in Dobbs Ferry.  The other driver involved was rushed to the Westchester Medical Center with serious injuries. There were no passengers in either vehicle. The identity of the person killed has not yet been released.
